Periodontics & Dental Implant Expert in Monterey
Dr. Kim graduated with high honors in Biomedical Engineering from University of California, Irvine (UCI) and worked as a Junior Specialist at Beckman Laser Institute. Dr. Kim then proceeded to pursue dentistry at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During his time at UCSF, Dr. Kim served in various organizations and outreach programs to promote dental health and education of the residents of Bay area and beyond. He received numerous awards and publications for his service and research on CO2 laser and was recognized for his clinical excellence and community service with UCSF Clinton P. Ulrich Award.
After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCSF, Dr. Kim received his certificate of Periodontology Specialty at UCSF where he also received a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences studying the benefits of platelet-rich-fibrin (PRF) and autologous fibrin glue (AFG). He received extensive training on gum disease treatment, bone and gum grafting procedures, implants, surgical support for orthodontic treatment and laser therapy.
In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his family, friends and his dogs Coco and Momo. He is an avid photographer who enjoys taking pictures while hiking and traveling.

Dr. Huy Pham was born and raised in the Bay Area. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the Stockton campus of the University of the Pacific and received his Doctor of Dental Science from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He then completed a 3-year residency at the UTHealth School of Dentistry to receive both a Master of Science in Dentistry and a certificate in Periodontics.
Dr. Pham’s master’s study focused on improving the rate of implant success through better controlled bone preparation. He is well-versed in digital 3D implant planning and computer guided implant placement. His passion in the field of periodontics is root coverage procedures. He finds fulfillment in helping patients achieve the healthy, aesthetic smiles they desire.
Dr. Pham is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association. When he is not in the office, Dr. Pham enjoys playing tennis, golf, and snowboarding.

He and his wife Charlie fell under the spell of the California lifestyle, and moved to Monterey in 1974, where they raised their two children. He has maintained a full-time practice in Monterey since then, limited to periodontics and dental implants.
Dr. Keeley received his initial implant training in Los Angeles in October 1985 by American implant pioneer Dr. Gerald Niznick. He had further training in dental implants in 1986 at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and placed his first implant in 1986. Since then, he has placed hundreds of implants, as well as presiding over multiple dental implant seminars over the years to help train local dentists in implant procedures and technology. In 2004, Dr. Keeley introduced 3D dental imaging and computer guided placement of implants to the Monterey Bay area.
He has been a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the California Dental association and the Monterey Bay Dental Society since 1976. When he is not at his office, Dr. Keeley can be found perfecting his golf.
