Patrick M. Keeley, DMD
Meet Dr. Keeley
Dr. Patrick Keeley received his Bachelor’s of Science from Siena College in New York State in 1976. He then received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1971 from University of Pennsylvania. He spent a year doing an internship at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, receiving advanced training in anesthesia, surgery and periodontics. In 1974 Dr. Keeley completed a 2-year residency in periodontics at University of Southern California.
He and his wife Charlie fell under the spell of the California lifestyle, and moved to Monterey in 1974, where they raised their two children. He has maintained a full-time practice in Monterey since then, limited to periodontics and dental implants.
Dr. Keeley received his initial implant training in Los Angeles in October 1985 by American implant pioneer Dr. Gerald Niznick. He had further training in dental implants in 1986 at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and placed his first implant in 1986. Since then, he has placed hundreds of implants, as well as presiding over multiple dental implant seminars over the years to help train local dentists in implant procedures and technology. In 2004, Dr. Keeley introduced 3D dental imaging and computer guided placement of implants to the Monterey Bay area.
He has been a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the California Dental association and the Monterey Bay Dental Society since 1976. When he is not at his office, Dr. Keeley can be found perfecting his golf.
